Highlights of 2022 and hopes for the new year

As we come to the end of another year, we wanted to look back on the good things and look forward to the future, to see what the team hopes for the new year.

Alastair

MD Al is looking forward to enjoying a quiet family Christmas whilst recharging his batteries after a busy 2022!

2023 is already looking very exciting, both personally and professionally, as Effective looks to unveil a number of new initiatives. Keep your eyes peeled…

Katherine

After a bumpy few years, Kath has enjoyed the return to some normality with in-person events back up and running. As Effective moved to working from home full-time this year, meeting clients, colleagues and even strangers face-to-face still feels novel!

As Kath also looks forward to a quiet family Christmas with her little boy, eating lots of chocolate, she hopes for a successful, stable year in 2023 for both Effective and our lovely clients.

Natalie

A busy year means it has flown by, especially for Plymouth-based Nat. From securing press trips for Luxury Lodges in national titles to helping out with some lovely Cornish lotto winners, creative Nat’s highlight is always brainstorming with the team. Getting that one lightbulb idea is a great feeling!

With all the family round for Christmas, Nat expects to spend most of the day in the kitchen, but is looking forward to the first King’s speech and games with the family.

2023 holds some exciting plans for Nat down in the South West, and she’s excited to be out and about meeting new people and developing relationships.

Catherine

Catherine is another team member who has loved the return of in-person events this year, enjoying working events like the Wales Business Awards.

As she works to become a certified proofreader and editor, Catherine is also planning on doing a lot more in terms of accessible content – watch this space!

With a late birthday, Catherine is hoping to enjoy a low-key Christmas before celebrating the big 30 before the new year!

Ffion

Ffi returned to Effective in February 2022 after being on maternity leave with her lovely daughter Mollie, so the first few weeks saw her getting up to speed! After no time at all, she was back in the groove and working with clients new and old.

With plans to spend ‘twixmas’ in Center Parcs with all the family, Christmas will be a magical time for Ffion and her two little ones, which she hopes to enjoy with a glass of Baileys and a few Gavin and Stacey Christmas specials!

With January already shaping up to be a busy month, Ffi wants to start the year with a bang and get some great results for our clients!

Catrin

Cat is yet another one of the team who has loved the return of in-person meetings and events this year, as she joined us in the midst of the pandemic and has still only met three clients face-to-face!

After a great year of personal development, Cat has loved stepping up and growing her relationships with her clients and looks forward to continuing that into the new year, alongside helping out on all of the exciting projects in the pipeline.

Her Christmas will be spent with family and friends, with lots of board games, food and drink, of course!

Ciaran

Newbie Ciaran only joined Effective in November, but he’s already been a busy bee, introducing our video offering which our clients have eaten up!

With videos for Veezu and Quantum already under his belt, Ciaran is looking forward to growing our own video library while making fun and interesting videos for clients.

Before that, he plans on spending Christmas with family, watching as much football as he can (if that’s possible after the World Cup!) and playing as much DND with his friends as possible.
