Vortex IoT is an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) focussed company that designs and builds retrofit IoT solutions such as sensors and networks for harsh environments where conditions are hostile, power supply is limited, AI is needed & data security is critical.
The company approached Effective Communication for help raising brand awareness among key stakeholders including, Welsh Government, potential investors, and organisations that could benefit from its innovations.
The first step was to identify Vortex’s key stakeholders and plan a media campaign that would put the company front of mind. We wanted to position Vortex and its senior staff as not just leaders in their fields but innovators who were capable of creating groundbreaking technology.
This also involved emphasising Vortex’s Welsh roots and the benefits associated with the company being located in Swansea, as well as highlighting their international reach.
We carried out sector and competitor analysis to enable us to see what worked well and hone Vortex’s key messaging.
Effective drafted press releases about business partnerships, the company’s involvement in local business activity, financial performance announcements and general company news. We also built-up client case studies, wrote award entries and blog articles.
Over a yearlong campaign from February 2019 – January 2020, Effective secured 66 pieces of coverage with a total reach (unique monthly visitors + circulation) of 28,668,288.
